How do I join the club?
Before you can join the Photography club it is a requirement that every member joins the Castle Hill or Parramatta RSL Club, after which, any person 18 years and over may join the Photography Club by Registering on the website then sending an email to the Membership Secretary who will convert you to a full member then send you a note advising you how to pay you membership.

I'm a former member, how do I rejoin ?
Just send an email to requesting conversion to a current member, the link is in Learn More below. You need to include your current RSL number and expiry date, once you receive a reply from membersec you will be able to pay your membership online.

Does the club provide training
The club runs many training courses from Workshop nights every second Tuesday to Getting to know your Camera days quarterly and Image Editing days also every quarter. We also run other add hoc courses from time to time.

As a Member, do I need to Register on the site?
We recommend that you register on the website, this automatically puts you on the mailing list for our monthly newsletter and allows you to look around the site. If you then decide later to join the club it?s as simple as completing the application form and coming along to any meeting and the membership Secretary will sign you up

How do I change my membership details
Logon to the site using your current email address and password, go to the Members' Area, Update Details and update the relevant fields on the various tabs. Items on the Membership Info tab are for reference only, you cannot change any of the details.

Chrome - Downloading PDF documents
By default Chrome will open the PDF file in the browser, if you need to download the file just hit the Download Arrow. If you want to always download the file first then follow the instructions below.

Club Competition issues
Do I have to print an entry form for Digital entries?
No. Once you have uploaded the image, the details for the entries are already in the club database. That's all the information that is needed.

How do I enter images in club competitions?
Go to the Competitions page of the Members' Area. There you will find all competitions that are currently open for entries. Please note, that the Digital entries close earlier than the Print entries. Closing dates are listed with each competition. Simply click on a competition, and you are presented with the entry screens for Digital and Print entries

Why do I have to enter print images on the web site
The reason is many fold; it reduces the work involved of entering details after the competition, improves the accuracy of the entries (no ambiguous titles to resolve) and allows for easy recording of results. The process uploads the details of your images to your Point Score results automatically. The entry form MUST be printed and submitted with the Print on the competition night. You do not need an entry for for Digital images

Can I change my mind and delete an image in a competition?
Yes you can, provided the closing date for entries has not passed. To change an entry, click on the competition (see above on how to enter images), select the image to be deleted and click on the Submit button. This removes that entry from the competition

How do I view my competition results?
Go to Members' Area, Competition Results. Select the competition from the drop-down box and click the Get Results button

How do I see the overall competition results?
Go to the Overall Results page of the Members' Area. Select the year, the grade and the category from the drop-down boxes and click the Get Results button

How do I see images from previous competitions?
Go to Members' Area, Competition Results, select the competion and hit get results.
You can select Print, Digital or both
If you click on the thumbnail of an image it will enlarge.
The report will display the results in descending order of points received, print entries will only display if the member uploaded to image when they entered the competition but their name and image name will still appear. Only entries that have received an award will show.

Member's Profile issues
What does Member Viewable mean in a Members Profile
If you put YES in the fields other club members will be able to see your Phone, eMail address and camera equipment. This allows other members to contact you if necessary. NO means members cannot see your details

Should I upload a photo of myself to my profile
We recommend that all members upload a photo of themselves. With such a large number of members it is difficult to remember what everybody looks like

Why do we need to record our Camera brand, Camera model and Computer type in our profile.
The information helps the club identify the various brands and cameras that our members use together with their computer operating system. This useful when planning training sessions and looking at member benefit deals with suppliers. It also lets members know what other people are using. To update your profile go to members? Area, Update details, Other In formation tab.

This section informs members how to buy, swap or sell their photographic equipment
How do I buy, sell or swap old photographic equipment
On the club web site go to Members' Area, Buy, Swap and Sell page.
Download the relevant document and once completed send it to
support@chrslphotographyclub.org for loading onto the Buy, Swap and Sell page.
Listings will remain on the site for a period of one month only.

Training issues
How do I view the training tutorials and links on the site?
Go to the Training page. Select a Subject from the drop-down box. All tutorials will be show dealing with this subject. To refine the search, you may select a Level from the drop-down box. Once you have decided on a tutorial, simply position your cursor over the tutorial and click. This takes you to further details of the tutorial and a link if necessary
