Tuesday 30th April 2019 - Mt Wilson

Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 10 AM – 11 PM

Rural Fire Station Car Park, The Avenue

We will be going to Mount Wilson in the hope of capturing some great autumn colours. This would be a great day for any mentees to try out their landscape skills and get some coaching from your mentor if they can also make it; or from other members if not.

Toilets: Only the toilet at the Rural Fire Station is flushed, all others in park areas are dry toilets (own toilet paper required for these). Alternatively most of the gardens have flushed toilet facilities.

What to Bring: Picnic rug; plastic poncho (in case of rain), camera gear, own morning tea and lunches as there are very few food & beverage vendors in Mt Wilson, survival nibbles; and an adequate supply of water or other liquid refreshments. I have selected this date because most other times prior to this are Easter or Anzac Day holidays and crowds are awful on public holidays and weekends.

Friday is bin day so always good to avoid and it is also quite late in the autumn colour season so probably best chance of getting good autumn colour unless there is lots of rain prior which tends to strip the trees.

Gardens have an entry charge which is payable on the day at your own expense
